"easy to see if i qualified"
it was really easy to tell if i qualified. signup only took me a few minutes, and everything was clear.

"Landlord verification took a little time, but it worked"
I used Boom! Mobile for the landlord verification part, and overall it was straightforward. It did take a bit longer than I expected to get everything confirmed, which was a little frustrating. But support got back to me quickly, and from their tone I got the impression they were actually trying to help, not just sending a canned response. Everything eventually got sorted and my rent reporting started. Giving it 4 stars because the process worked, but I do think it could be faster.

"Really easy and saved me from wasting time"
It took me maybe two minutes to get everything done. Super simple, no glitches, no confusion. I was kind of expecting to run into some annoying issue and lose time, but it just worked

"Didn’t really make a difference for me"
I used it for a few months hoping to see my score improve, but it barely moved. I kept waiting for some kind of noticeable change, and it just never really happened. I’m disappointed because I wanted this to work, and it’s frustrating when you put in the time and don’t see much back.

"Lease check was kinda a hassle"
The lease verification took way longer than I expected and it was a bit confusing. I ended up having to upload the same stuff twice, which was annoying. Not the worst thing ever, but yeah, not great tbh.

They did end up fixing my issue, but it took way longer than I expected, lol. Glad it’s sorted now, but the wait was frustrating.

"Payments usually work, just not always quickly"
I’ve used boom.us for a few payments and, for the most part, it’s been okay 🙂 A couple of transfers went through without any issues, but one got delayed and support took a little while to get back to me. It’s not a bad service, I just wish it felt a bit more consistent. 3 stars seems fair to me.

"ID check was such a hassle"
The verification took way too long. I get why its needed, but it felt like I was stuck waiting forever just to get through the identity check.

"Setup took longer than it should’ve"
Maybe I missed something, but setting up the account was more confusing than I expected. I had to redo a couple steps, and the emails took a while to come through. It did work eventually, so I’m not saying it was a total mess, but it was definitely annoying.

They did end up helping me get the dispute sorted, so I’m glad it worked out. It just took a lot of slow back and forth, and I was nervous about losing money the whole time. In the end it was resolved, but I wish the process had been quicker.

I ended up trying Boom because I noticed a pattern in a lot of credit-building tools: they only report to one bureau, which never really made sense to me. Boom reporting to all 3 credit bureaus was the big selling point, especially since rent is already my largest monthly payment.

Setup was simple, and it fits the way I like things to work, use something I’m already paying for and have it count where it can. No issues so far, and it’s doing what I hoped it would

"My past rent finally showed up"
I used boom to get my past rent reported, it was easy for me. I did have to wait a bit, but once it showed up, there wasn’t any weird back-and-forth or hassle. I’m glad I did it because it feels good seeing my rent actually count for something.

"The billing really confused me"
I signed up thinking I had a good idea of what the monthly cost would be, but the billing page just wasn’t clear to me. I’m usually the person in my family who helps my parents sort out subscriptions and phone bills, so I don’t think I’m totally hopeless with this stuff, but even I had to go digging to figure out where the extra charges were coming from.
Customer support did reply, which I appreciated, but the answers still felt kind of incomplete. I had to ask more than once to understand what I was actually being billed for, and that got frustrating fast.

The service itself might be fine for other people, but my experience with the billing left a bad taste. I ended up canceling because I just don’t feel comfortable sticking with something when surprise charges show up.

"Bank linking was an absolute nightmare"
I tried linking my bank at least five times and it just kept failing over and over. I was losing my mind a little by the end of it. I reached out to support hoping they’d save the day, but they weren’t really much help either. Super frustrating experience.

"Rent showed up fast, app could be clearer"
I signed up for Boom! Mobile mainly because I wanted my rent to actually show up on my credit report for once. I wasn’t really sure how long the whole thing was supposed to take, but it ended up showing faster than I expected, so I can’t really complain too much.
Mine posted after a few weeks, which was nice. I did have to keep checking because the app doesn’t exactly make the timing super obvious, so I kind of blame them for making me wonder if anything was happening.
Giving it 4 stars because it did what I needed, but the app could definitely explain the process better. Overall though, it worked, and getting my rent reported was the main thing I cared about.

"Worth it for the monthly price"
I’ve been using boom for a few months now, and my simple mental shortcut is: if I don’t have to think about it and it does what it’s supposed to do, it’s probably worth keeping. That’s how I feel about this. The price seems fair for what I’m getting, and it’s made rent reporting one less thing to worry about. Setup and use have been straightforward too, which I appreciate

"Updates the WHOLE way through"
They kept me in the loop the entire time and explained everything in plain English, which I really appreciated. I never had to guess what was going on or chase anyone down for answers. it made the whole process feel SO much easier.

"Autopay gets the job done, from what I remember"
I mostly use Boom! Mobile for autopay, and it works fine most of the time. I don’t remember the setup being too painful, so that’s a good sign. The only thing that sticks out to me is that the reminders and payment status could be clearer. There was one time where I couldn’t tell if the payment actually went through until later, which was a little annoying. Overall, not bad — just feels a bit clunky here and there.

Boom! Mobile works fine overall, but dealing with support was frustrating. I waited days just to get a simple answer, and even then the communication wasn’t very clear, so I had to follow up again. It’s not the worst experience I’ve had, but when you need help, the slow replies and vague updates get annoying fast
